Defence of Ranville - Normandy - game report
East of Orne bridges - 6th June 1944
![]() This was our second game of the "Kampfgruppe Von Luck Counter-attack" (Defence of Ranville) scenario from the Colin Rumford campaign guide for D-Day. Photos of our first game can be found here. The photo above shows the 9' x 5' table with Ranville at the bottom right and the Orne bridge leading to Pegasus Bridge at the right. The German counterattack was from the top left. Essentially this was the scenario as written but with the following changes: (1) staggered arrival for German forces
(2) 9 move game
