On this page I plan to document the genesis of my ww2 Japanese troops
Ok where to start ? I was fortunate to get a pre-release set of one of each (2 of the HMG) of the soon to be released
Eureka miniatures 20mm Japanese.

My starting point was a "light" Japanese Infantry Battalion (1941-1942). Usually 3-4 companies with MG company and Battalion HQ.
Companies should be larger than for Commonwealth troops but obviously went up and down according the stage of each campaign.
At the moment I have 40 figures in the battalion but by adding a 4th company it brings it up to 50 !

Here is an overhead view of the battalion based and ready to be undercoated. Not I have filled out the HQ (+1) and MG company (+2)
with some spare Japanese figures I had (brand unknown). Likewise with the Regimental Gun team.
